RECREATION MANAGER

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:

1. Create and handle the logistics for weekly, and monthly events in an effort to engage owners/guests.

• Oversee specific activities and events (including tie dye events, holiday activities, competitions, and other group activities).

2. Welcome and acknowledge all owners/guests; anticipate and address guests’ service needs; assist individuals with disabilities; thank guests with genuine appreciation.

3. Provide excellent customer service to owners/guests and create an environment of open communication and group participation in planning events and activities.

• Speak with others using clear and professional language; answer telephones using appropriate etiquette.

4. Coordinate activities programs for all age groups, three days a week. Paying close attention to needs and interests and owners/guests, resort requirements and seasonal opportunities.

5. Promote a fun and relaxing atmosphere for owners/guests.

6. Must be able to tolerate and work in a variety of outdoor temperatures and environment.

7. Supervise any pool activities and all other activity in common areas.

8. May be required: Public speaking (microphone), assist in ordering of weekly activity supplies, general clerical/administrative duties.

9. Develop and maintain positive working relationships with others; support team to reach common goals.

10. Design and implement special events for holidays and other occasions

11. Coordinate special projects and events with vendors and attractions.

12. Purchase of and maintenance of sports equipment and gaming library.

13. Publication and design of weekly recreational calendar.

14. Assist in the planning of employee-related functions within the workplace.

• Maintain clean work area.
• Clean and maintain equipment and supplies.
• Clear understanding of all resort emergency procedures.

Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 3 years of Recreational/Activities experience.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent computer skills to include: MS Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher).
• Outgoing, friendly personality.
• Excellent organizational skills.
• Visual acuity, either natural or corrected.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Ability to work well with others.
• Ability to process and resolve guest requests.
• Must be able to stand or site for a 10-hour shift.
• Must be able to lift a minimum of 35 pounds.
• Must have excellent attendance and punctuality.
• Ability to operate copiers, calculators, fax machines, postage machines and computers.

Must be able to work additional hours, if requested, outside the traditional work schedule
