Resorts of Augsburg is seeking a dedicated, full-time RN to join our team as a Delegating Nurse/Assisted Living Manager. This position requires an RN who is already certified as a Delegating Nurse and has experience in Assisted Living Management. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our Assisted Living community, including both standard Assisted Living and Memory Care units.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure the implementation of physician orders and proper medication administration in compliance with regulations.
- Assist the Resident Care Coordinator (RCC) in staffing, scheduling, and addressing personnel issues as they arise.
- Coordinate resident admissions and discharges, ensuring smooth transitions for all parties involved.
- Perform assessments to determine residents' levels of care and ensure appropriate care plans are in place.
- Foster positive relationships with residents, families, and staff through effective communication and support.
- Conduct family and resident conferences as needed to ensure satisfaction and address concerns.
- Perform all other duties and responsibilities of a Delegating Nurse, including direct supervision of care and medication management.
Additional Duties as Assisted Living Manager:
- Oversee the overall staffing and occupancy for both Assisted Living and Memory Care units.
- Manage day-to-day operations, ensuring compliance with Federal, State, and Local regulations, and demonstrate operational efficiency.
- Ensure all services meet the standards outlined by COMAR, the County, and the Board of Nursing, as well as the policies and procedures of A.L.I.V.E.
- Develop and implement methods to deliver exceptional resident care in alignment with established operational standards.
- Supervise, hire, train, evaluate, and discipline community staff to maintain a high level of performance and care quality.
- Work with leadership to create a culture of excellence, focusing on continuous improvement and resident satisfaction.
Qualifications:
- RN licensed to practice in the state of Maryland.
- Current certification as a Delegating Nurse and experience in Assisted Living Management.
- A minimum of two years of experience in the assisted living setting, with a preference for experience in gerontological nursing.
- Strong leadership skills and the ability to manage a team effectively.
- Knowledge of COMAR regulations and accreditation standards for Assisted Living communities.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with staff, residents, and families.
