Essential Functions:
• Deals all poker games assigned, in a proficient and speedy manner to be able to deal company
established decision per hour.
• Provides courteous service and is cordial to all patrons and team members.
• Shuffles cards in a timely manner, ensuring a thorough mix of cards in compliance with casino
standards, as well as controlling the pace of the game.
• Verifies and signs fills, credits, variance forms and associated document.
• Passes on all pertinent information to relieving dealers and supervisors.
• Issues chips to customers for cash buy-ins in accordance with company policy.
• Maintains control of game action, pots, side pots, and float; always keeping visual contact.
• Informs the table games Floor Supervisor of all irregularities including suspicious guest
activity.
• Paces games, taking into account the type of action and ability of players keeping the speed
of the game at the most efficient rate possible.
• Verifies accuracy when signing all paperwork.
• Accepts cash buy-ins at the poker tables and performs cash transactions between the poker
tables and cashier according to company policy.
• Complies with all appropriate Department policies and procedures and gaming regulations.
• Adheres to all NYSGC rules, regulations and Internal Controls applicable to your position.
• Adheres to all Company Compulsive and Problem Gambling Plan with regards to how to conduct
business in this position and specifically the regulations prohibiting service to minors and/or
intoxicated persons.
• Adheres to and complies with both departmental and overall property policies and procedures.
• Perform any other tasks as assigned.

Essential Requirements:
• Ability to showcase dealer skills through and audition
• Must be skilled in dealing all variants of Poker including but not limited to Texas Hold’em,
Omaha Hold’em, Stud, etc.
• Must possess the ability to differentiate Cheque color and appropriate values of each
• Must possess the necessary dexterity to deal poker

Knowledge/Work Experience:
• Must be 21 years or older
• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent
• Must have obtained a Poker dealing certificate through a Dealer training facility with a
curriculum approved by the NYSGC or have a minimum of 6 months’ experience dealing Poker in another
class lll gaming jurisdiction.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain the appropriate license through the New York State Gaming
Commission.


Language Skills:
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret documents, such as policy and procedure manuals and other
related documents. Ability to respond to common inquiries from other Team Members or guests.
Fluency in English required. Ability to write detailed instructions and correspondence. Ability
to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations.

Mathematical Skills & Reasoning Ability:

Ability to accurately perform mathematical functions applicable to business needs. Ability to
decipher various reports and maintains reports upon request.
Physical Demands:
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by the Team Member
to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

While performing the duties of this job, the Team Member is regularly required to talk or hear. The
Team Member is also regularly required to stand, walk, sit, and use hands to finger, handle, or
feel objects, tools or controls. The Team Member is occasionally required to reach with hands and
arms, and to sit, climb or balance, and stoop, stretch, bend, kneel, crouch, or crawl.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision,
peripheral
vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Essential responsibilities include
moderate physical ability such as lift or maneuver at least twenty-five (25) pounds, and prolonged standing during the shift.


Work Environment:

The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those that must be met by
Team Members while performing the essential functions of this job. Reasonable accommodations may be

The noise level in the work environment varies. When on the casino floor, the noise level
increases to loud. When on the casino floor or other designated areas may be subjected to tobacco
smoke. Must be able to handle intoxicated guests in a professional manner.

Due to the unpredictable nature of the hospitality/entertainment industry, Team Members must be
able to work varying schedules to reflect the business needs of the property.
