Warehouse Manager: Job Overview
Warehouse Manager:
Overseeing all warehouse operations for company and reporting to the Purchasing Manager on responsibilities. Involves creating purchase orders for electrical material as needed for jobs, following up with vendors to track progress of incoming purchase orders, reporting issues to Purchasing Manager and Operations Coordinator, receiving product and updating internal systems, prepping for all jobs on the schedule, and maintaining a clean and organized warehouse.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Oversee and maintain a safe work environment, conducting regular safety audits and training sessions for all warehouse and office staff.
- Managing electrical material stock items in warehouse and distributing to crews as needed for jobs.
- Managing the stockman’s schedule and tasks on a daily basis revolving around the implementation schedule and needs arising in the field.
- Communicating with field employees on a daily basis to identify product, accessory, and garbage pick-up needs on current jobs.
- Tracking power tools, ladders, carts, scaffolding and field accessories and having driver deliver to field as needed for jobs.
- Helping implement and manage a new inventory system for lighting products and electrical material within internal systems that can be utilized by purchasing manager for ordering.
- Purchase and maintain warehouse supplies.
- Oversee and maintain a safe work environment, conducting regular safety audits and training sessions for all warehouse and office staff.
DESIRED KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES:
- 2 years of experience in electrical industry; electrical wholesale or electrical manufacturer’s representative experience beneficial
- Familiar with electrical components commodity material; as related to Switch gear, lighting and subcontractors associated with electrical contracting beneficial.
- Proficient in MS Office and knowledge of Excel
- Excellent communication, leadership, problem solving, and analytical skills.
- Proficient in providing best value analysis.
- Ability to rapidly adapt and respond to changes in environment and priorities.
- Ability to elicit cooperation from senior management and other departments.
- Ability to maintain a positive attitude and work environment.
- Ability to learn and utilize multiple software programs.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $65,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
