They will also organize and facilitate M-groups, focused on health, wellness, and safer sex practices, ensuring discussions are culturally relevant to the program’s focus demographic.

They will organize & facilitate Core Group meetings, empowering participants to take leadership roles in planning events & outreach activities. They will also organize and facilitate M-groups, focused on health, wellness, and safer sex practices, ensuring discussions are culturally relevant to the program’s focus demographic.
Job Duties & Responsibilities:
- Develop & execute outreach strategies to engage the prioritized LGBTQIA individuals
- Recruit, train, & supervise volunteers to support program activities & events
- Work with the SEC to align outreach efforts with program goals & share resources
- Lead event planning including social gatherings, workshops, & health education activities, ensuring accessibility & inclusivity.
- Collaborate with team members to assist with event logistics & execution.
- Gather feedback to ensure outreach & events are relevant, impactful & responsive.
- Help with social marketing campaigns to promote health & wellness goals of programs.
- Ensure marketing materials resonate with the focus demographic and are relevant.
- Use social media & other digital platforms to enhance visibility & engagement.
- Connect participants with HIV prevention, mental health, substance use, & other services.
- Connect participants & service providers, ensuring participants have access to care.
- Track participant engagement, program activities, & outcomes.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of the program using quantitative and qualitative metrics.
- Prepare regular reports on progress and impact of the program for the SEM.
- Represent the programs & agency at assigned events and meetings to increase visibility, recruit participants, & promote the mission & goals of the program and agency.
- Attend internal meetings to collaborate on program strategy, development, & ensure alignment with organizational goals.
- Collaborate across departments within the organization & with external partners to support program efforts & ensure maximum impact.
- The position will focus on working with LGBTQIA communities of color, particularly engaging Black and Brown communities.
- The role will be cross-functional, working across FaCES programs to build connections and support diverse communities in alignment with our holistic wellness vision.
Job Requirements & Qualifications:
- Degree in social work, public health, community engagement, or a related field preferred.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish to ensure broader accessibility and engagement.
- Strong communication skills & ability to engage & support LGBTQIA communities.
- Experience in community outreach, advocacy, & event coordination.
- Ability to create social media & event materials using Canva or similar tools.
- Knowledge of HIV/AIDS prevention & issues affecting LGBTQIA individuals, cultural sensitivity and experience working various ethnic, racial, & gender backgrounds
- Strong organizational & problem-solving skills, adaptable to program changes.
- Flexibility to work evenings & weekends.
