Position Overview:
The Insurance Assistance Coordinator works under the supervision of the Ryan White Program Director while also working in conjunction with the Lead Insurance Assistance Coordinator on most routine matters. They will receive health insurance premium invoices from program clients, review the invoices to determine appropriate payment, and process accurate payment requests to the Accounting Office. Both coordinators work to ensure the smooth and efficient operations of the Insurance Assistance Program.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Work in close coordination with the Lead Coordinator to achieve the program goals
- Conduct program education, intakes, and eligibility renewals with clients as needed
- Educate clients on the program assistance and its requirements and procedures
- Receive and review insurance invoices and ensure timely and accurate payments.
- Receive payment checks from accounting and timely mail to insurance companies
- Provide front-facing coverage for the program as needed and interact with clients
- Assist in promoting the program by presenting program information to other organizations
- Work with the accounting team to resolve any payment issues or concerns
- Work with accounting to process insurance invoices for clients enrolled in the program
- Meet over the phone and/or in-person with potential IP clients and enrolled IAP clients
- Other duties as assigned
- Experience in recording keeping, organization, filing, and exacting attention to detail
- Minimum of two years experience in social services or accounts payable preferred
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and adjust readily to change
- Comfortable with working in the LGBTQIA community, with the homeless population as well as with individuals with mental health conditions
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and strong typing skills
- Excellent attention to detail as well as problem-solving skills
- Demonstrate strong communication and collaboration skills
