Senior Embedded Software Engineer Job Details
This is a fully qualified engineering level position that may include temporary direct and sustained supervision of others, including other professional engineers, in a multi-disciplinary environment. You will design and implement software for embedded devices and systems, develop solutions for various form factor embeddeddevice targets, and interact with design, QA, and documentation teams. Responsibilities also include architecting, developing, and troubleshooting code for new product features, providing post-production support, and effectively communicating both verbally and in writing.
Senior Embedded Software Engineer Mandatory Skills
- Bachelor s or Master s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
- 8 years of experience in embedded software development.
- Proficiency in C/C and scripting languages.
- Strong experience with Linux operating systems and kernel development.
- Extensive experience with Xilinx FPGAs and MPSoCs.
- Demonstrated experience in high-speed networking and advanced video processing.
- Familiarity with network protocols, streaming technologies, and real-time system constraints.
- Experience with version control, continuous integration, and testing methodologies.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.
Senior Embedded Software Engineer Desired Skills
- Prior experience in the professional and broadcast video industry.
- Knowledge of hardware/software co-design and high-level synthesis tools.
- Experience with video systems, encoding, decoding.
- Experience developing solutions using the Xilinx Zynq Ultrascale SoC.
- Experience developing solutions using Xilinx Vitis/SDK.
- Experience with embedded GPU programming using OpenGL ES.
- Familiarity with work and defect tracking systems.
- Familiarity with VHDL/Verilog.
