Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and strategic Project Manager to lead the intake and requirements phases of project execution. This role is crucial in ensuring that business needs are accurately captured, analyzed, and translated into actionable project plans. The ideal candidate will work closely with stakeholders to define project scope, gather requirements, and assess feasibility before execution begins.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the intake process for new project requests, ensuring alignment with business objectives and strategic priorities.
- Conduct initial feasibility assessments, risk analyses, and resource evaluations to determine project viability.
- Facilitate stakeholder discussions to define high-level project goals, expected outcomes, and success criteria.
- Requirements Gathering & Analysis
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to elicit, document, and refine business and technical requirements.
- Use structured methodologies such as interviews, workshops, surveys, and process mapping to collect detailed specifications.
- Translate business needs into clear, actionable deliverables for development teams, ensuring alignment with technical capabilities.
- Stakeholder Collaboration & Communication
- Serve as the primary liaison between business leaders, product owners, and technical teams during the intake and requirements phases.
- Ensure stakeholder expectations are managed through regular updates, documentation reviews, and requirement validation sessions.
- Work with project sponsors to define scope boundaries, dependencies, and constraints.
- Documentation & Process Improvement
- Develop and maintain requirement documentation, user stories, process flows, and business cases.
- Continuously refine the intake and requirements process to improve efficiency, accuracy, and stakeholder engagement.
- Ensure all requirements are thoroughly reviewed and signed off before transitioning into project execution.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Proven experience in project management with a strong focus on intake and requirements gathering.
- Proficiency in requirements management methodologies, business analysis, and stakeholder engagement.
- Strong ability to translate business needs into structured project plans.
- Experience using project intake and tracking tools (e.g., Jira, ServiceNow, Monday.com, or similar).
- Excellent communication, facilitation, and documentation skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and drive alignment across teams.
- Heath Care experience i.e. clinical healthcare or physician practice
- Epic experience
- Bachelors degree
