Position : Sr. Systems Engineer (with AWS experience)

Position overview :
Seeking a Sr. Systems Engineer that will be responsible for coordinating and performing migrations of applications to servers with upgraded operating systems. This role will also be responsible for administering and deploying systems\services in Amazon Web Services to test running applications from that environment, as well as utilizing AWS for disaster recovery purposes. The engineer will evaluate on premise virtual environment and make recommendations for replicating applications or systems to AWS. Systems monitoring, reporting, and performance tuning of servers\services will also be a responsibility for this position. Other duties will be assigned as needed.
Work activities :
- Work with application owners and business partners to plan and coordinate moving applications to new servers
- Evaluate options for replicating on premise virtual environment to the AWS
- Deploy new servers\services in AWS and on premise as needed
- Manage existing environments
- Create maintenance schedules and processes
- Document all routine procedures
- Other duties as assigned
