Resource Innovations is seeking a Commercial Energy Efficiency Market Engagement Lead to join our growing team in California. As a Commercial Energy Efficiency Market Engagement Lead with Resource Innovations, you will support our large commercial energy efficiency programs in California. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in driving engagement initiatives, fostering strategic partnerships, and ensuring the successful implementation of energy efficiency measures within the healthcare, high tech and bio-tech sectors. This position will provide market engagement support for two energy efficiency programs in and around the SF Bay Area in California. The ideal candidate will reside in or around the greater SF Bay Area, but other California-based remote locations will be considered. Some same day and/or overnight travel are anticipated for customer meetings and client or program partner engagement.
The ideal candidate possesses the right mix of organization, verbal and written communication skills, technical ability, and interpersonal skills to succeed in this position. In this role, you will collaborate with an existing project delivery team identifying and implementing energy efficiency projects with commercial customers, engage trade allies and program partners, drive participation, interface with utility clients and maximize energy savings to achieve program goals. Through consistent engagement with project developers both internal and external to RI, this role will seek to ensure balanced programmatic efforts amongst underrepresented areas or customer segments.

Duties and Responsibilities
- Collaborate with and support Market Engagement Manager on outreach to potential customers, including presentations, workshops, and one-on-one meetings
- Drive continued success with Program Partners
- Ensure compliance with existing Project Delivery Process
- Collaborate with internal and external project engineering teams
- Engage with program partners to leverage resources and maximize program impact
- Represent the programs at industry events and conferences
- Monitor program performance and identify trends in the healthcare, high-tech, and biotech sectors
- Proactively engage with underrepresented customer segments to ensure equitable program access and benefits
- Deliver best-in-class client services
- Other duties as assigned.
- Understanding of energy efficiency principles, technologies, and practices within commercial buildings
- Familiarity with the California energy landscape, including utility programs, incentives and key players
- Experience in implementing energy efficiency programs, including project identification, development, and tracking
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to build rapport with diverse stakeholders (customers, partners, utilities)
- Strong presentation and negotiation skills
- Highly organized with proven ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines
- Skill in establishing and maintaining strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including trade allies and community partners
- Proficiency in using energy modeling software or data analysis tools
Preferred skills, education and experience
- Interest in sustainability and passionate about making a meaningful impact on the environment.
- Experience working with stakeholders and/or decision makers in the healthcare, high-tech and/or bio-tech sectors
- Understanding of California's On Bill Financing process

The compensation range for this exempt position is $78,375 - $133,241 The stated range is based on a good faith estimate of the compensation range for the duties, responsibilities and skills / experience required for the position. Starting pay will be dependent on experience and internal equity. This range may be exceeded for well-qualified candidates, especially with industry experience.
