We are currently recruiting for a 2nd shift Packer to join our team! The Packer will play a crucial role in supporting our Finishing and Warehouse departments. The ideal candidate will have previous experience in a warehouse or manufacturing type of environment however, we are willing to train! This is an excellent opportunity for students!
This position pays $17 per hour plus $2 per hour shift premium! Hours: 12PM to 8PM
Responsibilities:
- Pull master rolls from Press Department and move to Finishing staging area to be used by Rewind operators
- Assemble boxes for use in packing finished goods
- Place rolls of finished product in cartons, tape & label cartons of finished goods
- Place completed cartons on skid or cart
- Label completed skids and takes to scale for weighing
- Convey finished skid to warehouse holding location to be placed into inventory
- Replenishes stock of raw materials at each Rewind station and in the Rewind Area using pallet jack
- Completes paperwork
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- One year of experience in a manufacturing or distribution environment preferred
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand and frequently is required to walk
- The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds with or without mechanical assistance
