Job Description :
The Senior BSA Analyst responsible for maintaining certain aspects of the Bank's BSA (Business Systems Analyst) compliance program and assists in meeting and maintaining BSA requirements of the Bank.
Assigned to a team that is responsible for performing regulatory reporting for various Credit Risk Management requirements and / or SCCL / Basel III Regulations.
Given the complexity and wide scope of responsibilities, this position requires strong analytical skills, technical skills, in addition to broader thinking skills and Financial Products, Credit products including Loans, OTC Derivatives.
Work closely with and support business managers in the execution of key priorities, including by assisting in the management.
Conduct meetings with clients and key stakeholders to gather requirements, analyze, finalize and receive formal signoffs from approvers.
Translate requirements into Business Requirement Document [BRD], Functional Requirement Document [FRD] and / or Minor Development Document [ClientD]
A detailed understanding of Axiom platform and ability to do in depth analysis on the changes needed.
A detailed understanding of Agile methodology and Jira for story creation
Develop requirements around regulatory changes.
Able to flush out the details with business for credit products and counterparty credit products.
Develop, modify complex SQL queries, read and understand code.
Create data flows, interfaces, ETL and Data mapping across systems.
Facilitate and drive project meetings with both business and technology teams.
Analyze data using Excel, reports, and other Treasury risk tools.
Coordinate User Acceptance Testing with business user community and QA teams.
Work, collaborate and coordinate with Offshore and Onsite team members to fulfill the BA responsibilities from project initiation to post-implementation.
Creates flow diagrams, structure charts, and other types of system or process representations.
Manage changes to requirements and baseline through a change control process.
Utilizes standard processes, design and testing tools throughout project development life cycle.
Work closely with the operational functional teams, operations management and personnel, and various technology teams to facilitate a common understanding of requirements and priorities across all areas.
Perform business and data analysis in development of requirements and in ongoing support of production applications.
Required Skills :
7 years of Business Analysis experience in Banking space
5 years working in risk and compliance practice of a large bank
Understanding of general Risks in the banking products
Strong experience in regulatory change management
Strong understanding of Products lifecycle - Credit, Counterparty, ALM, Treasury management
Advanced knowledge of SQL- ability to build complex queries, read and understand code and perform in-depth data analysis using SQL,
Relevant technology work experience in the financial industry with a broad understanding interface, data flows, ETL and Data mapping
Understanding of Financial Products including Loans, OTC Derivatives and other Assets along with the knowledge of Basel / Credit Risk is an asset.
Worked on regulatory driven project.
Preferably worked in Risk technology or Risk business within front line or risk management
Should have worked on Treasury risk management, understand treasury risk measures.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Prior experience interacting extensively with users.
Strong organization and time management skills with the ability to prioritize and multi-task.
Good analyzing capabilities, to break complex problems into simpler ones.
