RMC is hiring for a Incident Response Specialist to support a fast-paced Hybrid Cloud environment at NSWC Dahlgren. This candidate will be responsible for various activities, including collecting and analyzing network artifacts, performing triage, providing expert technical support, managing and documenting cyber defense incidents

- Coordinate customer meetings as needed to gather information needed to effectively troubleshoot issues with network performance and/or application performanc e
- Effectively work under pressure
- Manage time effectively during crisis situation s
- Assist Application Support with troubleshooting initial incident reports
- Assist Application Support with obtain information needed to effectively troubleshoot issue s
- Utilize NSERC monitoring tools to determine performance issues and/or threat s
- Analyze security alerts and logs to identify potential incident s
- Communicate concerns to RMC Program Manager and RMC Technical Lead
- In the event of an issue, coordinate with internal teams to implement temporary measures to mitigate the impact of potential concerns.
- Coordinate with internal teams to contain and/or resolve the performance issue and/or threats
- Document and submit outage report to RMC program Manager and RMC Technical lead within 48 business hours of an incident.
- Facilitate communication and collaboration between team members during the response process.
- Coordinate with the team to ensure all roles and responsibilities are assigned to resolve an inciden t
- Conduct thorough post-incident reviews to identify root causes and lessons learne d
- Develop and implement corrective actions to prevent future incidents and/or performance issue s
- Assist Information Assurance with conducting tabletop incidents to test and refine incident response capabilitie s
