Linux Engineer

RMC is hiring a Senior Linux Engineer in support of our Navy customer at Crane Naval Base in Indiana.  The desired applicant will have the following skillsets and attributes{​{:}}

• Patch and STIG Linux Operating to ensure compliance with DoD Information Assurance standards.
• Provide troubleshooting support for Linux/Windows Operating Systems.
• Perform system updates and server configurations, including upgrades of the Operating Syste
m

• Implement changes to locally hosted workstations/servers. Support virtual and physical networking configurations.
• Provide hardware, software, and network troubleshootin
g

• Strong understanding of virtual and physical networking configuratio
n
• Strong hardware, software, and network troubleshooting skill set

• RedHat 7, or higher, Enterprise administration, including workstation and serve
r
• ACAS/Nessus experience or similar vulnerability scanner familiarit
y
• Provide support for the administration of multiple VMWare ESXi environments across the RDT&E enterpris
e
• Provide support the virtualization of Linux based virtual machine
s
• Experience using distributed file system
s
• Must have the ability to work independently and as part of a team in providing tier 1 - tier 3 support to niche SME end users.
• Applicant must be a self-starter with a positive attitude and have excellent written and oral communication skills.

• A high school diploma or GED and over three (3) years of relevant experience in system administration of LAN/WAN systems, systems maintenance, and systems monitoring/reporting are require
