System Administrator, Journeyman (004)

RMC is hiring for a System Administrator who will provide System Administrator support to an RDT&E environment.  The selected applicant will manage the functionality and efficiency of a group of windows workstations and servers and perform hardware and software installations. 

The selected applicant will possess the following: 

• Support virtual and physical workstation and server configurations.
• Perform general IT requirements, installation, configuration, maintenance, and security in a classified or unclassified network environment.
• Provide Server 2019 administration.
• Support the virtualization of Windows and Linux systems.
• Support the Administration of VMWare ESXi environment.
• Provide ACAS/Nessus vulnerability and scanning support.
• Support the maintenance and administration of Microsoft Active Directory.
• Monitoring performance including monitoring disk space, utilization, capacity, and availability.
• Support ISSOs in implementing and supporting cyber security standards to include NIST and Risk Management Framework (RMF) C&A Standards and project reporting requirements.
• Create and maintain Active Directory user accounts and install hardware/software.
• Perform system backup and recovery.
• Perform PKI maintenance for DoD systems.
• Administration of infrastructure including but not limited to: servers, zero clients, malware protection software, HBSS, syslog servers, databases, etc.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in RDT&E environments.
• Experience with Cisco Call Manager a plus

• Bachelor’s degree AND three to ten (3-10) years of experience in related infrastructure, operating systems, system administration work is required. 
• OR Six (6) years of additional related work experience OR an Associate's degree and four (4) years of additional related work experience may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree.

Certification Requirement:

• The selected applicant must have DoD 8570/5239 IAT Level II Certification (Security CE).

Clearance Requirement:

• An active DoD TOP SECRET clearance is required to start. 
• Applicant selected may be subject to a security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.

**Salary at RMC is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, a candidate's specific combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific requirements. The current salary range for this position will be $120,000 to $150,000 (annually).
