We are looking for a Cybersecurity Lead to support an upcoming contract with the Department of the Navy onsite in Port Hueneme, CA. This role will support the Naval Surface Warfare Center, Port Hueneme Division (NSWC PHD) Information Technology (IT) team assisting in supporting a complex matrix organization and sponsor-driven requirements to develop IT tools that can be used across different organizational boundaries. The position will help maintain Navy standard RDT&E applications and infrastructure, while staying updated on emerging technologies to improve mission and business efficiency. The work will involve creating an integrated IT architecture within a Navy-authorized network environment and ensuring compliance with Department of the Navy cybersecurity policies.
Requirements
- Current Project Management Professional certification.
- Minimum five years’ cybersecurity leadership with experience managing teams of cybersecurity professionals with a focus on information system governance and authorization.
- Minimum three years’ experience executing information system authorizations resulting in authority to operate under the Navy’s Risk Management Framework Assessment and Authorization process.
- Minimum three years’ experience as a project manager with demonstrated capability to deliver products on schedule, within budget, and of the required quality.
- Experience managing incident response, network monitoring, and information system audits.
- Experience managing cyber workforce qualifications to comply with relevant policy.
- Interim DoD SECRET Clearance is required to start. Personnel may be required to obtain and maintain a TS clearance. Applicant selected may be subject to a security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
- Experience with Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) implementation of the Risk Management Framework (RMF) process.
- Experience working across organizational and cultural boundaries, building coalitions, and overcoming challenges to satisfy mission requirements.
- Experience authorizing cloud services resulting in authority to operate from the Navy authorizing official.

Salary at RMC is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, a candidate's specific combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific requirements. The current salary range for this position will be $126,000 to $163,000 (annually).
