Resource Options is collaborating with a leading industrial and environmental engineering firm to fill an immediate need for an experienced Industrial Installation Crew Lead . This role involves overseeing and participating in the installation of custom machine guarding and related industrial wastewater services throughout Connecticut. The position provides opportunities to gain hands-on experience in various service areas and operating divisions.
Position Overview :
As the Crew Lead , you will manage a team of up to 4 technicians while directly handling field installations related to industrial systems, focusing on machine guarding. Your primary responsibilities will include fabricating, mounting, and installing safety guards on manufacturing machinery, and ensuring integration with existing operations and safety controls. You will also be involved in the troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair of these systems, while ensuring compliance with safety standards.
Key Responsibilities :
- Lead and execute installation projects with precision, timeliness, and attention to detail
- Fabricate and install machine guards in industrial and manufacturing environments
- Build custom brackets and other components for equipment and sensor mounting
- Perform installations that may involve drilling, threading, and anchoring
- Troubleshoot and repair machine guards and other industrial systems
- Follow and interpret technical documents (work plans, manuals, diagrams, schematics)
- Utilize precision measuring instruments for system accuracy and reliability
- Adhere to safety practices and ensure compliance with client-specific safety standards
- Provide guidance and support to technicians as they complete tasks
- Coordinate and communicate effectively with the Technical Director or Project Manager when needed
- Follow up on any challenges or difficulties, ensuring they are properly addressed
