Manufacturing Company is looking for a Cable Assembler to join our production team in our facility in Chatsworth, CA.
We are looking for an experienced assembler to join our team in a fast-paced environment.
Primary Responsibilities:
The Cable Assembler is responsible for assembling complex cables in accordance with drawings, travelers and manufacturing procedures.
Your day-to-day work may include, but is not limited to:
• Performs assembly duties in accordance with drawings, travelers and manufacturing procedures.
• Operates shop hand tools, microscope, solder irons and ultra sonic cleaner.
• Uses spooling equipment to measure and cut wire.
• Uses test meters to check quality of the assembled cables and connectors.
• Operates label machines in accordance with operator’s manual.
• Maintains a clean and safe work environment.
• Assists other assemblers as needed, in order to meet shipping demands.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
Professional Qualifications
• 1-5 years experience in assembly.
Ability to read and understand assembly drawings.
• Basic schematic reading and ability to trouble shoot cable assemblies.
• Basic reading, writing and shop math skills
• Experience soldering miniature parts under a microscope
• Use of simple hand tools such as crimpers and ovens
• IPC 610 A certification a plus
• Good hand and eye dexterity
• Good communication skills
• Must be a local candidate
