Welder / Fabricator in Flint

$22-28 based on experience

Contract to hire. Must pass on site weld test. Must have TIG.

Responsible for fabricating various sheet metal products, utilizing drawings, instructions, and company guidelines.

-Operate welding equipment to work with carbon steel in various thicknesses in horizontal and vertical positions.

-proficient in mig, tig and wire welding

-visualize what finished products should look like (print reading)

-finish grinding on welded street metal using a hand grinder; welded/ground corners are to be cosmetically adequate

-repair improperly welded pieces and fill holes Responsible for putting together various components and subassemblies to produce our finished fabricated sheet metal products

-positions parts and subassemblies by using templates or reading measurements

-assembles components by examining connections for correct fit; fastening parts and subassemblies

-verifies specs by measuring completed components

-assisting in manufacturing of signs by cutting, shaping, applying letters and maintaining structural support.

-should be a good communicator, familiar with software, comfortable lifting 50 pounds, with great attention to detail
