Pay Rate: $18.00 – 22.00/Hr
1st shift: Monday to Friday 7am to 3:30pm **(Overtime might come as early as 5am when needed)
Position Overview:
The HP Indigo Print Operator is tasked with programming and preparing printing jobs, operating, and maintaining HP Indigo digital print equipment with limited assistance. The operator must possess the skills necessary to efficiently manage the print process, ensuring the production of high-quality outputs and meeting tight deadlines.
You will also cross train on other machines in the Digital area, including ABG Cutter / Finishing Operations. In this position, you would take the printed labels, cut the shapes out in them with our large-scale presses, and put them into smaller rolls.

Essential Job Functions:
HP Indigo Operator:
- Configure and operate HP Indigo digital printing press equipment, ensuring readiness for production tasks.
- Read and interpret instructions from the job jacket, ensuring proper setup of printing jobs.
- Manage and execute the printing of documents, including setup and formatting, to achieve optimum print quality.
- Understand the capabilities of the printing machine to maximize print quality and efficiency.
- Perform routine printing procedures, requiring quality inspection, adherence to procedures, visual discrimination, and analytical judgment.
- Stock machines with necessary materials and manage inventory levels.
- Troubleshoot and perform light maintenance on printing equipment as required.
- Ensure that scheduled deadlines are met while maintaining high-quality standards.
- Continually inspect printed jobs for completeness and accuracy.
- Assist in maintaining a clean and orderly work environment.
- Adhere to all safety and work rule regulations.
- Take on additional duties as needed to support the printing team.
ABG Cutter/Finishing Operations:
- Take the printed labels, cut the shapes out in them with our large-scale presses, and put them into smaller rolls.
- Break larger rolls into smaller ones on a tabletop, and other machines, and place the rolls in boxes.
- This Die-Cutter Operator will be responsible for operating the machine and finishing our digital printed labels.
- Fully set up and break down the label finisher as well as control and maintain quality specifications during die cutting operations.
- Package orders into boxes.
- Daily and weekly machine maintenance.
- Complete other printing tasks.
- Inspecting labels.
- Cross trained in other areas in the department.
Requirements:
- General math skills
- Hands-on experience with digital printing presses such as Ricoh, HP Indigo, or Canon strongly preferred.
- Proficient computer skills, particularly in file-to-print processes.
- Technical and mechanical aptitude, with relevant experience in printing or production.
- Experience with color printing, preferably in a 4-color process setting.
- Physically able to lift up to 50 lbs. and stand for long periods, handling materials as needed.
- Lifting up to 50 lbs. repetitively.
- Standing and bending for extended periods of time.
Salary : $18 - $22
