Maintenance Technician for major Scottsboro manufacturing company.
Minimum 5 years experience required from a manufacturing environment.
Pay is based on experience.
Responsible for performing highly diversified duties to install, troubleshoot, repair and maintain production and facility equipment according to safety, predictive and productive maintenance systems and processes to support the mass production of HVAC and industrial refrigeration units by performing the following duties:
- Conduct self in all actions with a safety first mindset
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Perform typical maintenance tasks to support all production activities
- Perform troubleshooting and maintenance on machinery, equipment, building, and grounds as required
- Perform preventative maintenance as required
- Performs other related duties and assignments as required.
Education, prior work experience and specialized skills and knowledge:
- General knowledge and/or experience with:
- Electrical systems including control components – such as disconnects, breakers, relays, fuses, motors, PLCs, etc.
- Pneumatic systems and components – such as valves, cylinders, pneumatic tools, etc.
- Hydraulic systems and components – such as pumps, hoses, cylinders, accumulators, etc.
- Mechanical systems and components – such as conveyors, hoists, chains, sprockets, belts, etc.
- The position requires the ability to use all hand tools and power tools common to the tasks listed
- The position requires the ability of basic operation of maintenance related machinery such as mill, lathe, grinder
- The position requires the ability to read and interpret drawings, sketches, and specifications
- The position requires considerable judgment when performing and planning to perform his/her tasks
- The position will be required to perform basic math.
