RESPONSIBILITIES AND ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Proficiently applies knowledge of machine shop theory and procedures, shop mathematics, machine ability of materials, and layout techniques to repair valves for service.
- Studies blueprints, sketches, drawings, manuals, specifications, or sample part to determine dimensions and tolerances of finished work piece, sequence of operations, and setup requirements.
- Verifies conformance of finished work piece to specifications.
- Maintains regular proactive contact with all levels of sales, engineering, marketing and manufacturing to troubleshoot valve problems.
- Conducts failure analysis at plant by reviewing and inspecting valves to determine exact cause of failures while recommending the proper course of action
- Inspects parts to determine changes in dimensional requirements.
- Prepares inspection reports describing the findings of the analysis.
- May respond to internal technical questions in reference to valves.
- Installs, programs, and repairs equipment by applying knowledge of electronics, mechanics, hydraulics.
- Performs daily task by using power tools, hand tools, and testing instruments according to Service manuals, schematics, diagrams, and blueprints.
