Material Handler
1st shift/ Auburn, AL
This position handles materials, transports parts via Forklift, reads and interprets written instructions from production and shipping schedules. Employee stores and or picks material from exact locations & delivers it to production or shipping as well as performs inventory movement transactions in computer systems. Performs required safety inspections on forklift equipment and reports any mechanical or safety issues to management in a timely manner.
Responsibilities:
- Operate lift equipment (forklift, order picker, reach truck)
- Sort, organize, and maintain packing & boxing inventory
- Read production schedule & deliver correct parts
- Stage parts and finished products
- Load & Unload trucks
- Keep up with all material transactions in the computer system
- Assist production team
- Performs daily OSHA required lift truck inspection
- Assist in other areas where needed
- Work cooperatively with co-workers
Qualifications:
- Must have Forklift Experience
- Must have Computer Experience
- Ability to operate order picker, Reach truck, fork truck
Minimum Experience:
2 Years
Minimum Education:
High School diploma or GED
