Client in Durham area is looking for an Industrial Painter for facility.
Monday to Friday 6:00am to 2:30pm
Job description
responsible for hand spraying parts or products using liquid or powder coat.
- Surface preparation: Cleaning, degreasing, and masking metal parts before powder coating application.
- Powder selection: Choosing the correct powder coating color and type based on project requirements.
- Powder application: Operating a powder coating spray gun to evenly distribute the powder on the surface of the part.
- Quality control: Inspecting parts for defects, ensuring proper coating thickness, and addressing any issues.
- Curing process: Loading and unloading parts from the curing oven to achieve proper finish.
- Equipment maintenance: Performing routine cleaning and upkeep of powder coating equipment.
- Understanding of powder coating techniques, different types of powder coatings, and their applications.
- Attention to detail: Ability to consistently apply even coats of powder and identify imperfections.
- Manual dexterity: Precise control of the spray gun to achieve desired coverage.
- Safety awareness: Following proper safety procedures related to handling chemicals and high voltage equipment.
- Problem-solving: Troubleshooting issues that may arise during the powder coating process.
- Able to lift 50 pounds.
