ResourceMFG is hiring a Press Brake Operator in West Lafayette!
Essential Functions:
- Operates safety equipment and uses safe work habits while performing his job function.
- Detects faulty operation of equipment or defective materials and notifies supervisors.
- Responsible for lay out, position, align, and secure parts and assemblies prior to assembly, using straightedges, combination squares, calipers, and rulers.
- Understand and interpret blueprints
- Use micrometers, calipers and various other precision measurement devises
- Understands materials, cutting tools and speeds and feeds
- Understands urgency/deadline requirements
- Ability to communicate well with engineers
- Ability to manufacture a finished part and take responsibility for the accuracy of finished product
- Daily production tracking
- Ability to multi-task by running multiple machines simultaneously
- Part Process Planning – raw material to finished product
- Understands tolerances and tolerance stack up
- Machine shop mathematics
- Experience in Low Volume machine
- Perform routine quality inspections per procedure
- Perform other relevant duties as assigned
Qualification Requirements:
- 3 – 5 years of Machinist and/or Press Operator experience – Set up and operate Manual & CNC Mills, Lathes, and Grinders
- Ability to read and utilize blueprints
- High School Diploma or equivalent
