NOW HIRING QC INSPECTOR IN ELOY, AZ!
$28-$30 DOE (Resume reflecting required experience & interview required)
6:00am-2:30pm Mon-Fri & Sat as needed (schedule subject to change based on production needs)
Core Responsibilities: Perform a dimensional/visual inspection of shop fabrication, which includes final paint inspections, weld preparations & final welds;Responsible for fabricated materials conforming to drawings, shop standards, specs/applicable codes;Record/maintain in-process & final inspection records for QA & production control;Identify/remedy drawing discrepancies w/detailers;Coordinates w/customer’s inspectors during inspection phases;Identify defects in fabrication;Assists shop personnel w/the interpretation of codes/drawings/specs.
Education/Training – Work Experience: High School Diploma or equivalent & at least 3 years of related experience;Completion of a verifiable vocational or training program may substitute for one (1) year of experience; Current or prior CAWI, AWS-CWI, SCWI, or CWB in accordance w/CSA W178.2 preferred or an individual with training or experience or both in metals fabrication, inspection & testing who is competent to perform the work.
Specialized Knowledge – Certificates & Licenses: Knowledgeable of dimensional tolerances in accordance with the AISC Code of Standard Practice & AWS Structural Welding Codes;Knowledgeable in requirements for inspection of high-strength bolted connections in accordance with RCSC;Read/interpret documents such as Structural Steel Blueprints, safety rules, operating/maintenance instructions & procedure manuals;Equipment/Tools may include but not limited to a Tape measure, weld gauges, level, square, & flashlight;Add/subtract/multiply/divide in all units of measure;Use common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form;Deal w/problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
