Moore Digital Print and Mail Center Tulsa is looking a facilities maintenance technician to join our facilities team. This position will be responsible to maintain Moore facilities by performing routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on a variety of tasks and requests. Must be able to work as a team and independently and follow all safety protocols.

Job Summary: Performs variety of maintenance work on Moore buildings, facilities, and grounds including maintenance of structures, fixtures and décor through additions, repairs, adjustments, painting, or replacement. Performs minor repairs on equipment.

Supervisory Responsibilities: None

Duties/Tasks/Responsibilities:

  • Assists in the maintenance of structures, fixtures and décor through additions, repairs, adjustments, painting, or replacement.
  • Perform on going preventive maintenance and repair work on facility mechanical, electrical, and other installed systems.
  • Troubleshoots and repairs minor mechanical malfunctions and performs preventive maintenance on vehicles, dishwashers, laundry machines, vent fans, etc.; performs minor adjustments; lubricates and cleans vehicles and/or equipment.
  • Constructs and repairs building structures, walls, floors, ceilings, cabinets, and furniture.
  • Install dry wall, tape, mud and paint it.
  • Assembles and moves office furniture, including chairs, desks, tables, bulletin boards, etc.
  • Performs minor repairs to air conditioning system as required & ensures general maintenance of the system.
  • Perform strenuous, heavy work involving the lifting and carrying of heavy objects. Heavy work (as defined by the ADA): Exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 50 pounds of force frequently,
  • Repairs light fixtures, fluorescent lights, spotlights, exit lights, parking lot lights, office lights and other HID systems and other minor lighting malfunctions.
  • Repairs commercial and residential styles of toilets, urinals, showers, drains, etc.
  • May assist in constructing metal structures. May assist in welding electric or gas.
  • Assists in repair and installation of 3 phase electrical service including some high voltage service.
  • Checks and repairs pumps, fans, valves, and motors
  • May clean carpets and upholstered furniture with power extractor.
  • Maintains tools and machinery in good condition and uses all tools carefully and as instructed.
  • May perform various ground keeping work: mows grass, trims trees, prunes hedges, edges lawn, etc.
  • May drive ResourceOne vehicle, large or small, to pick up and/or deliver miscellaneous items or to transport passengers.
  • May be called out on emergency repairs.
  • Maintains tools and machinery in good condition and uses all tools carefully and as instructed.
  • Willingness to be available for miscellaneous projects
  • Maintains and keeps maintenance vehicles orderly.
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment
  • Consistent and Reliable attendance is mandatory
  • All other duties as assigned

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Good mechanical aptitude
  • Knowledge of commercial and residential types of plumbing, electrical, construction and air conditioning equipment.
  • Knowledge of the occupational hazards and safety precautions of the trades involved.
  • Proper use of lock-out / tag-out procedures.
  • Skill in the care and use of tools and equipment used in the trades involved.
  • Ability to ensure the proper maintenance, repair, and security of buildings, grounds, and related equipment.
  • Ability to detect defects in equipment and to make proper repairs or adjustments.
  • Basic knowledge of reading blueprints is helpful.
  • Basic knowledge of swimming pools, heaters, and pump systems.
  • Ability to work at heights on rooftops or on scissor-lifts or other equipment.
  • Ability to work in cramped / confined spaces.
  • May work solo or with property manager depending on work requirements.
  • Ability to follow instructions and work with little or no supervision
  • Exemplary attention to detail

Education and Experience:

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent preferred
  • 2 years course work from a vocational or technical school in heating, ventilation, and air conditioning, plumbing, electrical, and construction trades a plus
  • 3 years' experience performing maintenance and repair work for commercial building and grounds OR any equivalent combination of training or experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities preferred

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to meet attendance requirements.
  • Ability to perform strenuous, heavy work involving the lifting and carrying of heavy objects. Heavy work (as defined by the ADA): Exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
  • Ability to perform continuous walking, stooping, standing and climbing.
  • Required to stand for long periods of time, bend, reach and move about the facility
  • Required to grip twist and turn both hands for long periods of time

Must be authorized to work in the United States and successfully pass a comprehensive criminal background investigation.
