Role: Literacy Project Manager

What You’ll Do

  • Project Management: Oversee multiple literacy projects, each with unique objectives, collaborating with expert partners and maintaining a high level of attention to detail. Lead cross-functional teams, ensuring smooth coordination and communication, while managing stakeholders to keep all projects aligned with goals and timelines.
  • Data Collection: Gather and analyze data, including focus group findings, needs assessments, and landscape analyses. Ensure all data is accurate, well-organized, and effectively used to inform project decisions.
  • Professional Communication: Demonstrate effective communication with various stakeholders, ensuring appropriate tone, timeliness, and content. Attention to detail is critical—we proofread everything! 
  • Training and Development: Facilitate training and professional development. Ensure sessions are strategically and thoughtfully planned, engaging, and deliver measurable impact.


Who You Are and How You Will Succeed

To excel in this role, you will need:


  • Time Management and Responsiveness: Thrive in a virtual workplace that involves active engagement and communication with colleagues and clients throughout the day. You are detail-oriented, organized, and demonstrate a high level of executive functioning to balance multiple priorities effectively.
  • Educational Qualifications: Hold a masters’ or doctoral degree in education, literacy, or a related field. Equivalent years of relevant experience may be considered in place of an advanced degree.
  • Project Management Experience: Demonstrate experience in project management, with familiarity in tools such as Monday.com, Smartsheet, or similar software. You are adept at creating and managing timelines, tracking progress, and ensuring all details are accounted for.
  • Commitment to Learning: Embrace feedback and engage in continuous learning through discussion and reflection.
  • Knowledge of Reading Science: Possess knowledge of the Science of Reading (SoR) and best practices in teaching reading, gained through academic work, professional experience, or both.

The is a full-time position and is ideally based in Central Texas (although we might have flexibility on location for the right candidate). The role may require approximately 20% travel but can vary based on project needs. The salary for this position ranges from $75,000 to $95,000, with exact salary depending on experience. We also offer excellent benefits including comprehensive health insurance and an optional 401K plan.
