Business Development Expert - Battery and Energy Storage Industry

Location: Resources for You (R4U) (Hybrid/Remote - Michigan preferred, but fully remote candidates considered)

Skills Needed:

  • Cold Calling: Ability to initiate contact with potential customers and generate leads through proactive outreach.
  • Self-Motivation: Driven to achieve goals and maintain a high level of productivity without constant supervision.
  • Continuous Learning: Commitment to staying updated with industry trends, new technologies, and best practices.
  • High Motivation: Strong desire to succeed and excel in a competitive sales environment.
  • B2B Sales: Experience in business-to-business sales, particularly in the battery and energy storage industry or other industrial sales at a minimum.
  • Technical Competency: Understanding of battery and energy storage systems, including technical specifications and applications.

Knowledge Required:

  • Battery and Energy Storage Industry: In-depth knowledge of the battery and energy storage sector, especially in the context of solar power.
  • Residential and Commercial Customers: Understanding the unique needs and requirements of both residential and commercial clients.
  • Sales Success: Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving revenue growth in an industrial setting.
  • Industry Experience: Preferably, experience in the battery and energy storage industry, with a network of contacts in the field.
  • Industry Contacts: Established relationships with distributors and installers of systems like Tesla Powerwall and other similar energy storage solutions.

Ability to Implement:

  • Technical and B2B Sales: Conduct technical and business-to-business sales in the battery and energy storage industry.
  • Full Cycle Sales Process: Own the entire sales process from prospecting to closing deals.
  • Prospect Sourcing: Identify and source potential customers through various channels.
  • Effective Presentations: Create and deliver compelling presentations to potential customers, highlighting the benefits of our products and services.
  • Deal Closing: Successfully close sales deals and achieve revenue targets.
  • Minimal Travel: Willingness to travel up to 25% of the time for customer meetings and industry events.
