Job Details
Requirements:
- Must have 8 or more years of experience as a Network Engineer.
- Must have experience in hands-on experience with server hardware setup, maintenance, and iDRAC access.
- Proficiency in network infrastructure support including routers, switches, VLANs, and firewalls.
- Experience with RedHat Enterprise Linux or other Linux distributions for daily system tasks.
- Experience with Windows Server administration, including Active Directory and patch management.
- Experience with virtualization tech including vSphere, VSAN, clustering, and backup/restore.
- Experience with infrastructure automation using Ansible or equivalent tools.
- Excellent communication and documentation skills in both verbal and written formats.
Responsibilities:
- Perform server rack-and-stack, cabling, BIOS/firmware setup, and ongoing hardware maintenance.
- Network troubleshooting, switch/router config, IP and subnet planning, and POE layout.
- NAS/SAN config, RAID setup, ZFS, and storage performance tuning.
- Monitoring tools such as Nagios, WhatsUp Gold, or similar for proactive alerts.
- DHCP, LDAP, SSSD, NTP, and integrating system services into the infrastructure.
- Manage on-prem lab equipment lifecycle using asset tracking and DCIM tools such as Sunbird.
- Collaborate with team leads to prioritize tasks, report status, and support after-hours when needed.
