Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced System Administrator Engineer to join our team. As a System Administrator Engineer, you will play a key role in replicating and deploying mainframe technologies to cloud-based infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mainframe systems administration and experience with cloud migration.
# Key Responsibilities:
1. *Mainframe to Cloud Migration*: Replicate and deploy mainframe technologies, including applications, data, and infrastructure, to cloud-based infrastructure (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
2. *System Administration*: Perform system administration tasks, including installation, configuration, and maintenance of operating systems, software, and hardware.
3. *Cloud Infrastructure Management*: Manage cloud infrastructure, including virtual machines, storage, and networking.
4. *Application Deployment*: Deploy and configure applications on cloud-based infrastructure.
5. *Data Migration*: Migrate data from mainframe systems to cloud-based storage solutions.
6. *Security and Compliance*: Ensure security and compliance of cloud-based infrastructure and applications.
7. *Troubleshooting*: Troubleshoot technical issues related to mainframe to cloud migration.
8. *Documentation*: Maintain accurate documentation of migration processes, procedures, and results.
# Requirements:
1. *Mainframe Experience*: 7 years of experience with mainframe systems administration (e.g., z/OS, z/VM, z/VSE).
2. *Cloud Experience*: 2 years of experience with cloud-based infrastructure (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
3. *System Administration*: Strong system administration skills, including installation, configuration, and maintenance of operating systems, software, and hardware.
4. *Scripting and Automation*: Experience with scripting languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell) and automation tools (e.g., Ansible, SaltStack).
5. *Security and Compliance*: Knowledge of security and compliance best practices for cloud-based infrastructure and applications.
6. *Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills*: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.
