ResourceTek, on behalf of our client, a nationwide, multi-disciplinary consulting engineering firm, is seeking an experienced Senior Electrical Engineer specializing in utility-scale Photovoltaic Solar (PV Solar) and Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) . This role offers the opportunity to lead design and engineering efforts on projects 20MW and larger while mentoring junior engineers.
Responsibilities :
- Serve as the lead design engineer for utility-scale PV Solar projects (20MW ).
- Develop electrical design packages for utility-scale BESS projects (20MW ).
- Oversee QA / QC for medium voltage collection system design projects.
- Mentor and guide junior engineers in technical and professional development.
- Demonstrate expertise in inverter-based technologies applicable to these projects.
- Perform collection system designs, including :
- Single-line diagrams
- System layouts
- Communication diagrams
- Power cable sizing and schedules
- Wiring diagrams
- Compliance with fire, electrical, and building codes
- Effectively communicate with stakeholders and participate in project planning meetings.
