Job Title: Billing Manager
Summary
Routes vehicle transactions and ensures the proper completion of related documentation through the accounting office.
Essential Duties
- Posts sales transactions to accounting records such as worksheets, ledgers and computer files.
- Reconciles office records with those of the sales department.
- Prepares a daily report of contracts, vehicle receivables due and proceeds.
- Accounts for all deal records. Compiles a list of any missing transactions.
- Resolves any titling problems with the responsible managers.
- Signs off on commission payments based on final documentation.
- Prepares invoices, listing items sold and service provided, amounts due and credit terms.
- Reports unit sales figures and overaged vehicle inventory to controller.
- Keeps abreast of factory sales programs and ensures proper credits to accounts are made.
- Compiles reports as requested.
- Maintains a professional appearance.
- Attends managers meetings as requested.
- Other duties as assigned.
Supervisory Responsibilities
Supervise staff of title clerks/billers.

Education and/or Experience
- Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Language Skills
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
Mathematical Skills
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
Reasoning Ability
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but involved written of oral Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.
