Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Driving Instructor to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for educating students on safe driving practices, traffic laws, and vehicle operation. This role requires effective communication skills and the ability to manage a classroom environment while providing hands-on driving instruction. The Driving Instructor will play a crucial role in shaping the next generation of responsible drivers.
Duties
- Conduct classroom sessions to educate students on driving theory, traffic laws, and safety regulations.
- Develop lesson plans that cater to diverse learning styles and ensure comprehensive understanding of driving concepts.
- Provide behind-the-wheel training, guiding students through practical driving exercises in various conditions.
- Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback to enhance their driving skills.
- Maintain a safe and organized learning environment during both classroom and in-car instruction.
- Communicate effectively with students and their families regarding progress, challenges, and areas for improvement.
- Stay updated on state driving regulations and best practices in driver education.
Experience
- Proven experience working with students in an educational setting is preferred.
- Strong communication skills to effectively convey information and engage with students.
- Background in adult education or experience teaching diverse age groups is a plus.
- Familiarity with classroom management techniques to maintain an effective learning atmosphere.
- A valid driver's license with a clean driving record is required.
- Previous experience as a driving instructor or in a related field is highly desirable.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
Expected hours: 10 – 40 per week
Schedule:
- 4 hour shift
- 8 hour shift
- After school
- Evening shift
- Monday to Friday
- Weekends as needed
Experience:
- Teaching: 1 year (Preferred)
Language:
- English (Preferred)
- Spanish (Preferred)
License/Certification:
- Driver's License (Required)
- Paraprofessional Certification (Preferred)
- Substitute Teaching Certification (Preferred)
- Teaching Certification (Preferred)
