What are the responsibilities and job description for the Senior Product Development Engineer position at Responsive Arthroscopy?
Responsive Arthroscopy is looking for an experienced Senior Engineer for full time work. The position would report to the Director of R&D and take on product development projects. Medical device design and solid modeling experience are required (Creo preferred). Key Responsibilities
Design and develop product(s) in full compliance with the Company’s Design Control requirements.
- Support DFM (Design for Manufacturing) for pilot manufacturing and continuous improvement.
Support prototype build and test efforts.
Interface extensively with other members of the organization as well as external suppliers and customers.
Complete new and existing product testing, including comparison testing with competitor products, protocol development, and test report documentation.
Responsible for supporting overall verification and validation efforts including design reviews.
Work in an open office layout and fast-paced environment to complete projects on time
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Mechanical or Biomedical preferred)
Minimum of 8 years of medical device design / development experience
Experience designing molded and machined components and assemblies
Proficient in CAD modeling software (Creo preferred)
Strong understanding of engineering materials, component selection, and design for reliability and manufacturability
Excellent communication and ability to collaborate.
Operate as a team and / or independently while demonstrating flexibility to changing priorities.
