Unit Manager Responsibilities include:
- Time will be spent between the office and working on the floor.
- Oversee long-term care residents.
- Facility Infection Preventionist.
- Update resident care plan, medication and treatment orders
- Attend long term care conferences quarterly.
- Implementing a resident plan of care.
- Performing direct nursing services such as administering treatments and assisting in assessments and evaluations
- Assisting with diagnostic and therapeutic procedures
- Delegating suitable components of the care plan to the nursing assistants,
- Provides guidance and supervision when necessary
- Consulting with and validates data Recording pertinent information in the patient record
- Identifying and evaluating the resident's response to health problems and treatments
- Communicating residents care needs to others involved in the care
- Assuming responsibility for professional growth and development
Requirements of RN/LPN's nursing License required
