* Full-time dayshift position. Hours of the day may be flexible but includes weekends as payroll is approved every other Sunday for nursing.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

1. Completion of care plan meeting invites for weekly care plan meetings. Ensuring all residents are scheduled for a care plan meeting. Responsible for weekly care plan scheduling with families.

2. Print diagnosis sheets for upcoming care plan meetings for physician/NP review and signature.

3. Responsible for checking nursing schedule daily and posting shifts that need coverage. Communicates with nursing staff to fill shifts as needed.

4. Responsible for checking agency staffing schedules daily for additions and cancellations on nursing schedule.

5. Responsible for communication of scheduling needs with staffing agencies. Resolve prior shifts as needed.

6. Amend schedules as needed for staff requests, new hires and resignations.

7. Update schedules and staffing cards daily to ensure schedules and cards match for the previous day.

8. Approve and decline requested time off for nursing staff.

9. Responsible for updating nursing staff assignments and resident showers as needed.

10. Biweekly completion of payroll. Ensuring staff missed punches and incomplete payroll records are updated. Maintaining all payroll records for nursing staff.

11. Responsible for completion of attendance cards for nursing staff. Prepare attendance counseling as needed.

12. Assist Staff Development in ensuring all mandatory in-services and competencies are completed for all staff. Assist in review and grading of all Staff Development quizzes.

13. Responsible for updating policy and procedure books on nursing units as needed.

14. Responsible for sending completed medication error reports to the pharmacy for review.

15. Other duties as assigned by DON/Shift Supervisor.

16. Recognize your role as part of the QAPI efforts of your organization.

17. Attend trainings to build understanding and capacity to undertake QAPI work.

18. Carry out QAPI roles and responsibilities as assigned.

19. Follow established policies and procedures in support of QAPI efforts.

20. Look for and share with leadership ideas for improvement in the organization.

21. Communicate to leadership upon witnessing a positive outcome of a QAPI project or detecting barriers preventing project success.

22. Support QAPI efforts both verbally and non-verbally (i.e., via actions and attitude). Including performance and practice in accordance with QAPI initiatives and findings.

23. Recognize your role for Trauma Informed Care: Promotes a culture of safety, empowerment and healing; recognizes that everyone who interacts at Rest Haven may have past traumatic experiences and protects trauma survivors from being re-traumatized.

24. Recognize your role for Compliance and Ethics: Participates in annual compliance and ethics training. Follows code of conduct reporting any compliance and ethics concerns.

NON-ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

1. Transports residents to other areas as directed.

2. Orders, picks up and delivers supplies to unit as necessary.

3. Floats to other areas to assist with admissions or other necessary tasks on unit.

4. Covers the front desk for receptionist during meal break if needed.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

1. Well lighted and ventilated facility.

2. Sits, stands, and walks intermittently during the day.

3. Communicates with a wide variety of people.

4. Subject to interruptions.

5. Exposed to computer equipment.

6. Exposed to residents exhibiting abnormal behavior(s).

QUALIFICATIONS:

1. High school graduate preferred or equivalent.

2. Previous experience in clerical, hospital, or nursing home setting preferred.

3. Competent in the use of office business machines, and personal computer software such as Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and other programs or equipment as needed.

4. Must be responsible, professional, and have the ability to work well independently without constant supervision.

5. Adequate mental and physical health to perform the essential functions of this position.

6. Effective and consistent communication skills.

7. Ability to maintain a positive environment in stressful situations.

8. Ability to treat Rest Haven-York and Resident information as confidential.

9. Good organization skills and the ability to demonstrate accuracy.

10. Ability to be a team member.

11. Criminal history background clearance Act 169 and Act 13.
