Summary

We are looking for a dynamic, entrepreneurial and highly motivated Vice President of Strategic Growth (Northeast) to initiate and cultivate growth opportunities specifically in the Hospitality and Distributive Services sectors. This critical role is directly responsible for driving revenue and profitability by creatively solving client critical business issues using a consultative approach. The Vice President of Business Development will identify service solutions that align with client goals, improve operational efficiencies, and maximize financial outcome using their knowledge of organizational strengths and weaknesses, technology innovation, industry trends, and competitors and customer needs. The successful individual for this role must be adept at professional networking, building strong relationships and have demonstrated success in acquiring and expanding client partnerships.


This role reports to the Chief Growth Officer

Vice President of Strategic Growth (Northeast):

  • Lead Generation and Acceleration:
  • Develop and execute comprehensive sales strategies to achieve revenue targets and drive business growth
  • Identify, pursue and close new business opportunities with customers, including expansion into new markets and customer segments
  • Optimize and lead annual sales and operation planning process, including forecasting, budgeting, and resource allocation


  • Solutioning:
  • Build and maintain strategic relationships with new and existing clients to expand service offerings, while ensuring favorable terms, pricing, and contracts
  • Identify and evaluate new business opportunities; develop and maintain positive business relationships with potential clients; build both internal and external networks
  • Partner with Marketing to develop integrated marketing and sales strategies to drive brand awareness in support of growth and customer engagement


  • Sales Process:
  • Establish territory management plan with a critical focus on ‘right client-right terms’ while adhering to company’s ‘Client Partner Success Process’
  • Actively setup, use and maintain the CRM to build rapport and relationships over the selling cycle, leverage data to action a strategy and report out on activity
  • Lead the development of sales presentations, proposals, and contractual sales documents
  • Research prospective organizations to identify prospective client key stakeholders
  • Develop and implement the business plan, budget, and forecasts to achieve sales, market share, hit rate and market growth targets to attain overall regional/national sales goals
  • Develop proposals for clients and follow up on these opportunities.


  • Research and Strategy:
  • Understand trend analysis, market monitoring and results tracking Build and develop relationships by participating in industry networking groups and hosting client events to maintain a pulse on the market
  • Collaborate with others on the sales team to achieve and surpass sales targets
  • Provide feedback to leadership regarding customer needs, non-commercial opportunities, and market trends
  • Prepare and deliver presentations on products and services


  • Brand Ambassador:
  • Represent the company at business-related events with clients and prospects
  • Be a culture warrior at every point of contact, visibly demonstrating the value of the organization and team


Qualifications:

  • 7-10 experience working in and/or consultative selling hospitality and/or distributive services required
  • Demonstrated understanding of the unique hospitality marketplace, industry, and client dynamics
  • Ability to work independently in a dynamic, fast-paced setting
  • Exceptional written and oral communications skills
  • Engaging and creative negotiation and presentation skills
  • Prior experience in a startup entrepreneurial environment is beneficial
  • This role requires candidates to be based in the Northeast


Physical Requirements:

This position requires travel up to 70% to prospect and meet with prospective clients.
