Job Summary
The Cafe and Pantry Manager at Bloomberg is responsible for the successful operation of all pantries and coffee bars. You'll need coffee operations experience (including ordering, technology skills, merchandising and retail), outstanding hospitality skills and leadership experience to be successful in this role.
This position offers a desirable Monday through Friday, daytime schedule. Availability between the hours of 7am and 4pm regularly is required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Follows organizational policies and procedures for compiance and operational excellence
- Ensures compliance with local, state and federal regulations
- Manages a staff of 10 hourly, union associates
- Plans, assigns and directs job duties
- Participates in employee meetings, reviews and development
- Plans, markets and executes special events/promotions
- Performs other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Three to five years upscale food service experience, including two years of supervisory experience
- Supervising, scheduling, training, management & coaching skills
- Knowledge of basic work area operations, company and client policies and procedures
- Operational knowledge of the cash handling procedures and operation of food service equipment
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
- Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office: Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- ServSafe or Department of Health certification a plus
