JOB TITLE: Pool Bartender

REPORTS TO: Director of Food and Beverage
JOB SUMMARY:
Embrace the Aloha Spirit and create a personalized and heartfelt experience for all guests. Take, process, and deliver food and craft beverage orders to all poolside guests. Set up, stock, maintain and clean/sanitize the pool bar.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Greet arriving guests at pool bar and pool.
2. Offer menus and inform guests of food and beverage specials and recommendations.
3. Communicate with and attend to guests in all areas whenever possible.
4. Using hotel approved COVID-19 procedures, sanitize, clean, and organize pool bar, bar stools, and tables/chairs adjacent to the bar.
5. Receive orders and process and deliver all food and beverage items to guests at the pool.
6. Upon completion, clear all food and beverage items from guests.
7. Wash and sanitize all reusable food and beverage items such as but not limited to: plates, silverware, and cups.
8. Clean and sanitize all poolside areas throughout the day.
9. At closing, lock and secure all product.
10. Thoroughly clean and sanitize the pool bar and empty all trash.
11. Run closing sales report, copy all room charged receipts for submission to accounting.
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
In the event a pool server is not scheduled, the pool bartender will be responsible for the following:
1. Assist guests in finding seating on pool deck.
2. Set up chairs with towels and covers as guests arrive.
3. Keep pool deck stocked with towels and communicate needs to housekeeping.
4. Maintain constant presence around the pool in order to attend to any guest requests.
5. Using hotel approved COVID-19 procedures, sanitize, clean, and organize the pool deck, cabanas, tables, and chairs throughout the day.
6. Deliver room service food to all guest rooms during operational hours.
7. Clean and sanitize poolside cabanas, chairs, and tables upon guest departure.
OTHER DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage inventory of retail items.
- Retrieve and clean room service dishes.
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
High School degree or equivalent required.
WORK EXPERIENCE (MINIMUM REQUIRED)
Guest service experience at a luxury resort required.
Bartending experience at a restaurant, or luxury resort required.
Serving experience required.
SPECIAL SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED TO PERFORM JOB
- Must have command of the English language.
- Current liquor certification card and CPR/First Aid certification.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS
- Physical Demands
a. Must be able to stand (up to 8 hours)

a. Must be able to handle stress during heavy pool times.

Job Type: Part-time
