What are the responsibilities and job description for the Payroll Tax Administrator position at Restaurant Growth Services?
POSITION SUMMARY
This position is for our Nashville, TN Support Center.
Oversee the multi-state payroll tax functions to ensure that local, state, and federal requirements are implemented and applied accurately and timely. Provides excellent customer service to employees across the company. The position will work together with the Payroll team supporting weekly payrolls.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES – Including, but not limited to:
- Ensure compliance of all taxes withheld are paid and filed timely by working closely with the Ceridian/Dayforce Tax Services (CTS) team.
- Work with CTS to research and resolve tax notices in a timely manner including SUI rates and wage base limits
- Assists with the validation and balancing of W-2 forms and the reconciliation of the W-2 management reports.
- Responsible for the issuance of W2c’s when needed and ensuring any amendment requests are submitted to CTS.
- Performs daily and weekly audits to validate the accuracy of the tax set up based on residence and work locations.
- Balances tax reports with the payroll files to ensure both are accurate.
- Enter and review adjustments processed with the payroll to ensure tax history updates are correct.
- Audit and review local, state, and federal changes on a continuous basis to ensure compliance.
- Other duties as assigned.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree and/or equivalent experience.
SKILLS & SPECIFICATIONS
Experience/Training:
- 3-5 years payroll tax preparation and filing experience in a high volume, multi state environment.
Required:
- Must have thorough knowledge of Federal, state, and local payroll taxes and relevant government regulations.
- Ability to maintain highly confidential information.
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills with attention to detail
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to multi-task, organize, and follow through with commitments and deadlines in a fast- paced environment.
- Proficient in the use of office technologies (Excel, Word, Outlook), strong working knowledge of Ceridian Dayforce or similar system.
- Experience working with outsourced payroll and tax filing vendor.
Preferred:
- Experience with Ceridian Dayforce
- Restaurant or hospitality payroll experience.
- FPC or CPP.
Salary : $70,000 - $75,000
