POSITION SUMMARY
This position will be responsible for enhancing O’Charley’s and Ninety Nine continuous supply of products, to maintain optimum costs and adequate supplies consistent with the quality / specifications required by the brands. As well as overseeing the distribution, transportation, and inventory control of goods and supplies across multiple distribution centers and restaurant locations. This position requires a proactive manager with strong organizational skills and a keen understanding of the restaurant supply chain industry.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES – Including, but not limited to :
- Responsible for sourcing, forecasting, and contracting quality products and services.
- Remain current and understanding of related commodities that can affect cost of goods.
- Appraise and improve supply chain activities by analyzing the company’s spending, supplying partnerships and new possibilities.
- Evaluate existing and potential suppliers, both foreign and domestic, across multiple criteria, including price, quality, service, availability, reliability, and selection.
- Manage the full RFP process for new and existing products and services including, but not limited to, the analysis and evaluation of vendor selection and distribution.
- Build strategic relationships with suppliers, internal clients, and distribution partners.
- Identifies and analyzes opportunities and risks, offers solutions, and builds successful strategies to meet business objectives.
- Coordinate with suppliers, and distribution centers to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of goods while maintaining quality standards.
- Effectively direct the work of assigned direct report to maintain sufficient and proper product supply levels and ensure consistent and timely supply of products to the distribution facilities.
- Lead the management of logistics and distribution staff, providing leadership, guidance, and performance evaluations.
- Develop and implement efficient logistics strategies to optimize transportation routes and minimize delivery costs.
- Facilitates cross-functional communication to support the development and execution of organizational objective keeping all stakeholders aligned with supply chain regarding category management and distribution.
