This position may also support one or more of RSI’s wholly owned subsidiaries, Restaurant Services Canada, Inc. (RSCI), RSMI Restaurant Services, S. de R.L. de C.V. (RSMI) or Supply Chain Services, LLC (SCS). RSCI and RSMI were created for the purposes of providing supply chain management services, including purchasing food and packaging items and managing distribution services for the Burger King® (BK) and Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen® (PLK) restaurants in Canada and the BK restaurants in Mexico, respectively. RSCI and RSMI operate under a contract for services with the respective brands which are subsidiaries of Restaurant Brands International (RBI). SCS provides selected services to the global Burger King® restaurant system that are not provided by RSI including serving as the North America logistics agent for premiums (toys) and managing the development, manufacturing, and procurement of premiums for the worldwide Burger King® system.

The primary focus of the Distribution & Logistics Analyst is to support logistic activities associated with internationally and domestically sourced premiums products. The Distribution & Logistics Analyst will work in coordination with the SCS and RSI logistics team to ensure premiums inventory is in place and available for use in the Burger King® system. The Distribution & Logistics Analyst will also analyze new items to ensure logistics optimization and support the team as it relates to communication of freight negotiation results.

The Distribution & Logistics Analyst will also manage all aspects of timely pricing communication to the system’s distribution centers (DCs), for RSI and its subsidiaries as assigned, as well as the distributor invoice audit process to ensure adherence to published pricing throughout the supply chain. This position collaborates extensively with the Premiums and Food & Packaging (F&P) teams and will also be a back-up resource within the department.


RESPONSIBILITIES:

Premiums Logistics Responsibilities (50% of Total)

  • Ensure preliminary shipping schedules from manufacturer facilities are within reasonable delivery times
  • Develop shipment plan, including consolidation strategy and validate timely shipment
  • Analyze and report on expected delivery timing to hub warehouses or DCs in accordance with applicable transit times
  • Coordinate the execution of outbound shipment plans with hub warehouses and carriers
  • Monitor on time delivery of purchase orders to DCs and coordinate recovery plans where necessary
  • Coordinate receipt of Proof of Delivery (POD) for all shipments, analyze and resolve all quantity or quality related shipping discrepancies, coordinate the filing and resolution of claims in a timely manner
  • Prepare logistics budgets for each program for review and approval of Supply Chain Manager
  • Validate ocean related expenses, Canada carrier invoices and hub warehouse invoices and prepare for payment approval.


Other Logistics Activities (25% of Total)

  • Monitor all newly created items and review logistics packaging specifications to ensure the items adhere to RSI standards for optimization
  • Prepare freight negotiation results package for communication to F&P team.


Pricing Communication Management (12% of Total)

  • Prepare, validate, and communicate weekly and monthly DC Landed Cost reports to all DCs, as assigned, for RSI and its subsidiaries
  • Validate and approve all franchisee price lists for each DC in Mexico
  • Monitor and communicate price changes implemented by F&P team outside of normal DC Landed Cost process via price notifications to respective DCs, as needed, for RSI and its subsidiaries
  • Ensure all published pricing is accurately loaded into internal supply chain operational system to support distribution invoice audit process
  • Reconcile pricing issues with team members and/or suppliers or distributor, as needed
  • Address and resolve all restaurant operator pricing issues and requests.


Restaurant Alignment & Distribution Fee Management (2% of Total)

  • Manage DC to restaurant alignment in internal supply chain operational system including validation with DCs, as needed
  • Validate franchisee to restaurant alignment between internal supply chain operational system and distributor in Mexico, resolve discrepancies as needed to ensure applicable distribution fee is applied
  • Manage all components of each DC’s fee in internal supply chain operational system to support distribution invoice audit and plate cost processes
  • Manage DC fee to restaurant alignment in internal supply chain operational system including validation with DCs, as needed
  • Prepare, approve, and report changes in diesel impacting DC fees in Mexico on a quarterly basis
  • Draft and circulate NewsBriefs for timely communication of DC fee changes to operators


Distribution Invoice Audit Management (10% of Total)

  • Complete monthly restaurant and item level invoice pricing audit on a timely basis
  • Perform pre-audits to proactively identify and mitigate pricing errors, work with respective DCs and/or F&P team, as needed, to quickly correct issue 
  • Communicate and resolve all pricing discrepancies with DCs, working with respective F&P team member and distribution manager, as needed
  • Ensure credits are issues, as required
  • Proactively notify supervisor and leadership of material discrepancies
  • Maintain associated reporting and communicate audit results, as required.


Additional Responsibilities (1% of Total)

  • Cross train with other distribution & logistics team members to provide support, as needed, for RSI and its subsidiaries  
  • Develop presentation materials and ad hoc reporting, as required
  • Create and maintain relationships with external stakeholders such as, franchisees, board members, distributors, suppliers, and BKC, as well as all internal departments within RSI.


EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

A four–year degree and/or direct and relevant experience which require the use of the skills described above. Relevant experience within an Asia logistics U.S inbound environment preferred. Must have advanced skills in Excel.

OTHER:

This position is located in Miami, Florida. Candidate must be fluent in English and fluency in Spanish is preferred.
