Position Summary: Assist in kitchen preparation and meal service to the residents and potential visitors, ensuring a high standard of customer satisfaction. Responsible for following resident menus accurately, providing high quality service delivery and the proper cleaning and sanitation of the dining rooms, kitchen and soiled dishes.

- Prepare beverages, fruits, salads and desserts while assisting with other food preparation.
- Set up dining room tables.
- Follow resident menus accurately while preparing room trays and/or serving in the dining room.
- Take tableside food orders and deliver to residents in an organized, timely and courteous manner. When appropriate, offer available options to exceed resident expectations.
- Ensure that all dietary areas are maintained in a clean and safe manner and in compliance with established infection control procedures. Including proper work attire and following proper grooming and hygiene principles, including hair restraints.
- Deliver nourishments to units as required.
- Deliver food carts to designated places and ensure carts are returned to kitchen.
- Collect and remove trash and garbage to designated containers.
- Clean work areas, dining room, equipment, walls, cabinets, storage areas, and other areas assigned in accordance with established procedures.
- Wash dishes, cookware, flatware, and trays using approved procedures.
- Assumes all other position related responsibilities as assigned.

Education, Training, Experience:
- High school diploma or successful completion of GED.
- Experience in a food service institutional setting.

- Ensure resident/customer satisfaction.
- Flexible schedule with ability to work weekends and holidays.
Physical demands:
- Stand, lift 50 pounds, and pull and push items.
Work environment:
- Sudden extreme changes in temperature, subject to burns, cuts, and the possibility of injury from falls on slippery floors.
