What You'll Do:
As the Director of Nursing, you’ll play a vital role in shaping the future of our care center by leading our nursing department to excellence. Your responsibilities will include:
- Empowering Your Team: Hire, mentor, and support an exceptional nursing staff, fostering a culture of growth, teamwork, and professionalism.
- Driving Quality Care: Set and uphold high standards of nursing practice, ensuring every resident receives personalized, top-tier care in alignment with regulatory guidelines.
- Collaborating Across Teams: Work closely with other departments and community partners to enhance resident care and create opportunities for staff development.
- Solving Problems with Compassion: Address and resolve concerns from residents, families, staff, and physicians with empathy and professionalism.
- Managing Budgets with Precision: Develop and oversee department finances to maintain efficient and cost-effective operations.
- Leading Innovation: Spearhead quality assurance and performance improvement (QAPI) initiatives to continuously enhance care standards.
- Being a Voice for Nursing: Represent Resthaven Care Center in professional nursing organizations and committees, advocating for excellence in senior care.

What We're Looking For
We need a leader who:
- Has 5 years of nursing supervisory/management experience in senior living.
- Possesses a strong understanding of nursing principles, methods, and practices.
- Excels in organizing, directing, and motivating teams.
- Communicates effectively, both verbally and in writing.
- Is tech-savvy and comfortable using modern software tools.
- Holds an active Registered Nurse (RN) license, and License eligible in Michigan.
Bonus Skills
- Public speaking experience and the ability to deliver impactful presentations.
- A collaborative spirit to build strong relationships with staff, residents, families, and community members.
