Job Description
Aquatics Attendants are the ‘Concierge’ of the pool facility; meeting and exceeding all customer expectations from friendly pass scanning to responsive cleaning and tidying. They provide a welcoming environment, are knowledgeable of all pool programs and activities, and are the public face of Reston Aquatics. The ideal candidate is energetic, out-going, diligent, confident, and well-spoken.
Job responsibilities include facility admission processing, retail sales (select facilities only), providing information to customers, routine cleaning, completing reports and forms, assisting customers with equipment, and assistance with emergency response (crowd control, facility access for EMS, collecting witness statements).
All work is performed in an outdoor environment near and around recreational water. No swimming or in-water tasks are required; however, some maintenance and cleaning tasks may be related to the pool facility.
Requirements
- Age 14
- Confident, mature, and well-spoken.
- Able to provide quality customer service for a diverse population.
- CPR/First Aid certification PREFFERED
- Ability to move 50lbs, hear whistle alerts from 50 yards, and see hand gestures from 25 yards.
- Corrective eyewear or assistance devices are permitted
There are 20 vacancies for the Aquatics Attendant position. An initial screening of applicants will be conducted on March 21, 2025. Applicants who apply after that date will only be screened and/or interviewed if successful candidates have not been selected from the applicant pool that applied prior to that date.
