Job Description
Fitness Instructors are responsible for the delivery of group exercise / movement courses at the Association’s pools. All courses must be taught in accordance with the standards and policies dictated by the training agency from which the instructor certification was issued. Instructors are responsible for setting up class environment to include all equipment, clear view between self and all participants, and minimal disruption to other scheduled activities occurring at the pool. Instructors must ensure respectful treatment of all class equipment and supplies and are responsible for notifying professional staff of any missing or damaged equipment. Instructors are also responsible for submitting all requested course documentation to the Aquatics Professional staff or designee.
NOTE : Course reporting to the certifying agency (if required) is to be done by the individual instructor. Taking attendance, checking purchase receipts, and collecting registration fees may be required for some classes.
Requirements
Nationally recognized certification from a training agency in Aquatics or In-Water exercise.
