We are seeking an outgoing, passionate individual who loves to sell quality services to benefit propertyowners. The Business Development Manageris a territory sales position that will spearhead our sales efforts and cultivate lasting relationships with professionals and customers. In this role, you will be responsible for meeting with potentialpartners and customersin person, educating them about our services, and guiding them to our services as appropriate. The Business Development Managerwill report weekly and provide ongoing updates on new business opportunities and existing business, as well as market research on the status of the territory. Your success will be based upon generating and growing new business opportunities with potential customers and professionalsthrough consistent daily in-person calls and visits to develop long-lasting business relationships.)

Job Requirements:

  • Generate leads and drive sales through proactive outreach efforts, mainly in-person networking events and cold calls.
  • Travel daily with most time spent onin-person outside sales calls.
  • Grow the business by identifying new sales and business development opportunities.
  • Build and maintain excellent relationships with clientsand professionalsso that the business can maximize the value of those relationships.
  • Identify key contacts at potential client and partner companies to establish and foster relationships.
  • Prepare and deliver compelling presentations to potential clients andpartners, showcasing the value proposition of our services.
  • Understand the problems and challenges of clients andpartnersand address their needs.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends and competitor activities to retain existing clientsand professionals, identify new business opportunities and maintain a competitive edge.
  • Provide excellent service to support a positive business reputation.
  • Resolve any customer complaints promptly and professionally.
  • Set revenue targets and develop and execute a strategy to meet them.
  • Ability to manage sales cycle in CRM tools.
  • Build, maintain, and service a ‘top 25 client’ list.

Qualifications:

  • Proven track record of success in sales, and experience with in-person cold call sales.
  • Must be comfortable making cold calls and dealing with customers face to face, while demonstrating good listening skills, poise, tact, and diplomacy.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a natural ability to build rapport with customers.
  • Result-driven attitude and a self-starter.
  • Strong business acumen and strategic thinking abilities.
  • Uncompromising honesty and integrity, along with a strong work ethic and high level of professionalism.
  • Devotion to high-quality customer service.
  • Keen analytical and research abilities.
  • Knowledge of relationship management best practices.
  • Problem-solving and conflict resolution capabilities.
  • Outgoing and customer-oriented attitude.
  • 3 years of experience in a sales or customer service role.
  • General Construction Experience (Preferred)
  • Plumbing/HVAC/Restoration Experience (Preferred)
  • Existing relationships with insurance agencies, plumbing or construction trades will set you apart from other candidates.
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel locally.
  • Willingness to use software tools to optimize daily tasks
  • Clean criminal history and driving record. Willingness to undergo a background check and driving record check.
  • Job experience with construction trades or water damage restoration is a plus but not required.
