Material Control Coordinator
Shift: 11:00 AM – 7:00 PM
Job Summary:
As the Material Control Coordinator / Warehouse Personnel role some of the responsibilities are ensuring the efficient flow and management of materials within our warehouse facility. You will be responsible for various tasks related to inventory control, receiving, storage, kitting and distribution of materials to support our operations. This position requires strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Receive incoming shipments of materials and verify accuracy of contents against shipping documents.
- Perform quality inspections on incoming materials to ensure they meet company standards.
- Safely and efficiently store materials in designated locations within the warehouse.
- Assemble kits or packages according to provided specifications, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Maintain organized kitting areas within the warehouse, ensuring efficient access to materials and components.
- Coordinate with production or assembly teams to ensure timely delivery of kits to support manufacturing processes.
- Utilize inventory management software to track and manage components used in kitting operations.
- Conduct regular audits of kit components to maintain inventory accuracy and prevent stockouts.
- Assist with inventory replenishment by identifying and requisitioning materials needed for kit assembly.
- Collaborate with other team members to fulfill orders and meet production deadlines.
- Prepare and package materials for outgoing shipments, ensuring proper labeling and documentation.
- Conduct regular cycle counts and physical inventories to reconcile inventory discrepancies.
- Identify and report any issues or discrepancies related to kitting operations.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe work environment.
- Review picking instructions or order sheets to determine items to be picked, quantities required, and specific location details within the warehouse.
- Utilize picking equipment such as hand-held scanners or pick carts to efficiently locate and gather items from designated storage locations.
- Able to operate a forklift and utilized a Wave machine which consist of being up to 12ft of the ground.
- Perform thorough quality checks on picked items to ensure accuracy and completeness of orders, comparing against order sheets or packing lists.
- Receive returned merchandise from customers or receiving department and verify the reason for return against the RGA documentation.
- Inspect returned items for damage, defects, or discrepancies, documenting findings and reasons for return as necessary.
- Determine appropriate disposition of returned items, such as restocking, repair, replacement, or disposal, following company policies and procedures.
- Assist with other warehouse tasks and projects as needed.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a warehouse or materials control role preferred.
- Familiarity with inventory management systems and software.
- Ability to operate material handling equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks.

- Willingness to work flexible hours and overtime as needed.
- Ability to bend at the knees, reach above, pull, and push up to 60 lbs., lift and move materials as needed, be able to resist to height due to operational equipment’s, and to stand and sit for prolonged periods of time.
