Middle School Math Teacher

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Mathematics Teacher to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mathematics and a commitment to fostering a positive learning environment. This role involves teaching various mathematical concepts, mentoring students, and preparing them for standardized testing. The Mathematics Teacher will also engage in tutoring sessions and contribute to the overall educational administration of the school.

Duties

• Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that cover a range of mathematical topics, including differential equations and advanced calculations.
• Educate students on mathematical principles while adapting teaching methods to accommodate different learning styles.
• Provide individualized tutoring and mentoring to support students' academic growth and confidence in mathematics.
• Assist in the administration of standardized testing, ensuring students are well-prepared for assessments.
• Collaborate with colleagues to enhance library services and integrate resources into the curriculum.
• Conduct regular assessments to evaluate student progress and adjust instructional strategies accordingly.
• Maintain accurate records of student performance and provide constructive feedback to students and parents.
• Participate in ongoing professional development opportunities to stay current with educational best practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Education, or a related field; teaching certification preferred.
• Experience in tutoring or mentoring students in mathematics is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with Montessori methods or alternative education approaches is a plus.
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail for proofreading educational materials.
• Knowledge of education administration processes is beneficial.
• Ability to communicate complex mathematical concepts clearly and effectively.
• A passion for teaching and inspiring students to achieve their full potential in mathematics.
